According to Radio Television Brunei, sacrifice extends beyond traditional practices and includes sympathizing and supplicating for fellow Muslims, particularly emphasizing support for Palestinians. The Sultan described contributions to the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians as the highest form of sacrifice, delivered in a broadcast that was aired across Brunei.
In his titah, Sultan Bolkiah reiterated that 'Idil Adha, or the Eid of Sacrifice, is a time when Muslims are encouraged to perform animal sacrifices, an act believed to bring significant rewards in the afterlife. The monarch's message underscores the importance of unity and support within the Muslim community during these significant Islamic observances.
