Brunei Islamic Religious Council Receives Significant Business Tithe Payments
Bandar Seri Begawan: The Brunei Islamic Religious Council, MUIB, has received over $86,598 in business tithe payments from two companies operating within the nation. The contributions were made by Al-Bukhari Sendirian Berhad and Koperasi Persatuan Tiba (KOTIBA), with each company handing over more than $56,496. The official handover ceremony took place on the afternoon of March 20 at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the contributions were received by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and Vice President of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB). Representing Al-Bukhari Company at the ceremony was its Manager, Fakhri Alam, while the business tithe from KOTIBA was presented by Awang Haji Matassan bin Haji Bungso, Chairman of KOTIBA’s Board of Directors.
