Abuja: Brunei held a Standards Awareness workshop yesterday to promote best practices in safety management and environmental accountability, the Brunei Standards and Accreditation Centre, at the Ministry of Finance and Economy, said. The workshop was aimed at government agencies, private enterprises, and academic institutions, focusing on occupational health and safety management, as well as greenhouse gas emissions and removals.
According to Nam News Network, Dayangku Nadiah Annasyitah, the acting director of Brunei’s Standards and Accreditation Centre, emphasized the importance of international standards as foundational tools for building safer, healthier, and more sustainable organizations, and the nation as a whole. The initiative is part of a broader effort to align local practices with global standards, ensuring that Brunei remains competitive and responsible on the international stage.
