Brunei Darussalam Food Authority to Launch New Online System for Processed Food Import Registration

Brunei Darussalam – The Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA) announced the introduction of a new online system for registering imported processed food, named the Processed Food Import Registration (PFIR).

According to Radio Television Brunei, accessible starting from November 23, 2023, will replace the current Food Import Registration System on the eDarussalam portal.

The PFIR system is designed to offer enhanced features and greater convenience for food importers, allowing them to register products at any time. It represents a significant improvement over the existing system, offering more streamlined and user-friendly processes. Additionally, the public can now apply to import processed food for private use, with guidelines available for download on the BDFA website.
