Brunei and Vietnam Enhance Legislative Cooperation Through Courtesy Visit
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN — In a key step towards bolstering bilateral relations, the Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam hosted a courtesy visit from Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice-President of the National Assembly of Vietnam, focusing on legislative collaboration under the 2023-2027 Comprehensive Partnership Action Plan.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the meeting, held on the morning of August 10 at the Legislative Council Building, included discussions on the relationship between the two legislative bodies and current regional and international issues. Speaker Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib led the Bruneian delegation. The discussions aimed at further strengthening cooperation to foster stability and prosperity in both nations and the broader region.
The visit, which also saw the participation of His Excellency Tran Anh Vu, Ambassador of Vietnam to Brunei, underscored the deepening ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, highlighting the commitment of both countries to mutual learning and legislative partnership.
