The meeting, held at Istana Nurul Iman, underscored a shared commitment to advancing friendship and cooperation.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the welcoming ceremony was marked by a display of pageantry, including a Salute of Honour and a 21-gun salute. Students showcased their national pride, lining the route to the palace, while military honors were bestowed upon the visiting President. High-ranking officials and dignitaries were present as both national leaders and their delegations were formally introduced. Subsequent private discussions between His Majesty and President Ramos-Horta focused on reinforcing bilateral relations and addressing mutual interests.
