Bandar seri begawan: In conjunction with the 1448 Hijrah New Year Celebration, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, through the Imarah Section, Department of Mosque Affairs, in collaboration with the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque Takmir Committee, held the launching of the ‘Belajar Ilmu Tajwid Bersama Al-Qur’an’ book and the Understanding Tajwid Al-Qur’an 2026 Workshop. The event took place at the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque on the morning of June 18th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the launching ceremony was officiated by Awang Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri, Acting Director of Mosque Affairs. It was held concurrently with a workshop themed ‘Bacaan Betul, Hati Tenang’, aimed at enhancing the community’s understanding and skills in Al-Qur’an reading based on correct tajwid practices. The initiative is designed to foster continuous interest in Al-Qur’an learning and to boost participants’ confidence in reading Al-Qur’an using the talaqqi method, adhering to authentic tajwid rules.
