Post: Blood Donors Champion Community Support

WASHINGTON — On the occasion of World Blood Donors Day, celebrated annually on June 14, two committed blood donors shared their experiences and motivations for their continued contributions to public health.

According to Radio Television Brunei, their decision to donate blood regularly stems from a deep sense of humanity and a commitment to helping others in need. Awang Haji Razman bin Haji Usop, who started donating blood in 1994, views it as a charitable act and a meaningful sacrifice for the betterment of the community. Dayang Faten Salwati binti Mahmud Shahrani, another avid donor, is driven by a selfless desire to assist the community, expecting nothing in return. Both individuals underscore the importance of blood donation as a vital way to contribute to societal health and emergency preparedness.
