Post: Blood Donation Campaigns Scheduled Across the Country to Address Low Blood Supply

Bandar Seri Begawan: Blood supply at the Blood Donation Centre and blood banks across the country is still at a low level. Donors for all blood groups are needed to meet the demand for blood transfusions in all hospitals in the country. The Blood Donation Centre at the Department of Laboratory Services will hold several blood donation campaigns throughout May.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the campaign will begin on 11th May at the Blood Donation Centre, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, from 8:30 in the morning to 12 noon. On 12th May, the campaign will move to Annajat Complex in Beribi from 10 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.

Further donation drives are scheduled on 13th and 14th May at The One Mall, Batu Satu, from 10 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. On 17th May, donations can be made at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Jalan Pengiran Babu Raja, from 9 to 11:30 in the morning and 1:30 to 3:30 in the afternoon.

The public is also encouraged to visit the Blood Donation Centre at Raja Isteri Pengiran Saleha Hospital during office hours, which are from 8 to 11:30 in the morning and 1:30 to 4 in the afternoon, to donate blood. Blood donation slot reservations through the BloodKad app are highly encouraged to streamline the process and ensure safety during the campaign events.
