Post: Biden Confirms Continued Candidacy in U.S. Presidential Race

WISCONSIN — President Joe Biden, addressing speculation about his political future following a debated performance last week, confirmed on Friday that he will remain in the presidential race and expressed confidence in winning against former President Donald Trump.

According to Philippines News Agency, Biden responded to questions about his intentions in the race. "Ever since then (the debate), there's been a lot of speculation. What's Joe going to do? Is he going to stay in the race? What you going to do?" Biden said. He firmly told his supporters, "Here's my answer. I am running and going to win again." He also emphasized his determination to stay in the race despite suggestions from some quarters to withdraw. "Some folks are trying to push me out of the race. Let me say this too, as I can, I'm staying in the race," he stated.

During the event, Biden did not shy away from directly criticizing his main opponent, Donald Trump, calling him "the biggest liar" and "the biggest threat to our democracy in American history." He highlighted the contrasting elements between his slow debate responses and Trump’s falsehoods.

Biden's commitment to continue in the race comes amid internal party concerns that his candidacy may adversely affect the Democratic Party’s prospects in the upcoming November elections. Some party members fear that not only could Biden's participation harm their chances, but it might also facilitate Trump’s return to the White House. This has led to calls within the party for Biden to step aside in favor of a younger, potentially more electable candidate.

Later on Friday, Biden is scheduled to appear in an interview with ABC News, where he aims to reaffirm his position as the most viable candidate to counter Trump in the forthcoming election.
