BARMM Allocates P31 Million for Medical Aid to Indigent Patients at Cotabato Hospital
Cotabato City-The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has donated PHP31 million to the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC) to support medical care for indigent patients. This contribution is part of the regional government’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare accessibility for its residents, especially those with limited financial resources.
According to Philippines News agency, BARMM cabinet secretary and head of the Ayudang Medikal mula sa Bangsamoro Government (AMBaG) program, the fund aims to assist a significant number of patients in need at CRMC. The check was formally handed over to Dr. Ismael Dimaren, the chief of CRMC, by Pendatun and Jurjani Silongan from the Office of BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim on Wednesday. Pendatun highlighted that the assistance underscores BARMM’s commitment to healthcare support across the region. Dr. Dimaren expressed gratitude for the support, which will bolster the hospital’s capabilities to serve not only the local community but also patients from neighboring provinces.
