Sydney: Amazon will invest A$20 billion ($12.97 billion) from 2025 to 2029 to expand, operate, and maintain its data center infrastructure in Australia, bolstering the nation’s artificial intelligence capabilities, it said in a blog post on Saturday.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the investment represents Amazon’s largest global technology commitment in Australia. The funding will be directed toward enhancing server capacity and supporting generative AI workloads. This significant financial commitment underscores Amazon’s dedication to advancing technological infrastructure in the region, potentially leading to innovations in various sectors reliant on AI technologies.
