Solving the issue of marine debris and the use of technology and innovation in dealing with these challenges in the Southeast Asian region are among those discussed during the Joint Briefing on Technological and Innovations Solutions to Address Marine Debris in Southeast Asia in conjunction with the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary General Assembly Meeting, AIPA, International Conservation Caucus Foundation, ICCF and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, UNCTAD. The meeting was held in Bogor, Republic of Indonesia.
At the meeting, Brunei Darussalam was represented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Member Of The Legislative Council. The meeting shared the initiatives that have been implemented by various parties in Brunei Darussalam in dealing with and raising awareness on the issue of marine debris in the country. The meeting was attended by several AIPA member countries.
