Berakas: The 18th BRUKAF National Karate Championship 2026 concluded at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, marking the end of an intense series of competitions on April 26, 2026. The championship featured four final events, with prizes awarded by Dayang Umi Kalthum binti Haji Abdul Karim, the Director of Youth and Sports.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the men's final witnessed Muhd Harith Dahlan from the Shotokan Karate Club securing victory over Muhammad Farhan Japar Sani from the Shitokai Karate Association. The women's final saw Dayangku Widad Aiman Pengiran Haji Mohammad Hasimudin from the Rengokai Karate Club defeating Amal Syahirah Abdullah Kamsani from the Shitokai Karate Association.
The championship also featured team kata events. In the adult women's team kata final, the Shitokai Karate Association emerged victorious against the Shotokan Karate Club of Brunei Darussalam A. Meanwhile, in the adult men's team kata final, Shotokan Karate Club of Brunei Darussalam B triumphed over Shotokan Karate Club of Brunei Darussalam A, showcasing the depth of talent within the club.
