Post: Active Weather Conditions Forecasted in Brunei Until Early February


Bandar seri begawan: Brunei Darussalam is currently experiencing the first phase of the Northeast Monsoon, also known as the rainy season. During this period, the country typically experiences unstable weather conditions, with occasional heavy showers or thundershowers.



According to Radio Television Brunei, active weather conditions are expected to commence on the 29th of January and continue until Thursday, 5th of February. Showers, occasionally heavy and thundery, are expected to impact several areas of the country, with wind gusts reaching up to 50 kilometres per hour during or near heavy and thundery showers. Over Brunei waters, sea conditions are generally slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging between 0.5 and 1.5 meters.



Members of the public are advised to take precautionary actions concerning the forecasted active weather conditions.
