The Academy of Brunei Studies at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) celebrated the launch of 19 academic books, written and published between 2019 and 2023. The event took place on the afternoon of November 1st, highlighting the academic contributions of local scholars.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Doctor Awang Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD, inaugurated the books. These publications encapsulate the extensive research conducted by local academics from various departments within UBD, including the Academy of Brunei Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education. Notably, the collection features works from both local and international publishers, with four books published by Indonesian publishers and Routledge, London. The launch aims to introduce and showcase these academic works to the wider public, emphasizing UBD's commitment to scholarly excellence.
