Post: 8th School Leaders Convention Highlights Importance of Coherent Educational Systems

Jerudong: Strong systems are built not only through policy, but through coherence, collaboration, and leadership at every level. The Minister of Education explained that the role of the Ministry is to ensure that early intervention is not fragmented, but embedded within school structures, teaching practices, and the culture of schools. The matter was emphasised at the 8th School Leaders Convention. The ceremony took place on the 6th of May morning at the BRIDEX Banquet Hall, Jerudong. Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh also said that early screening and identification processes; collaboration between teachers, specialists, and families; as well as data-informed approaches to support student progress are vital in meeting diverse learning needs.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the convention also marked the launch of two guideline books: 'The Students' Learning Assessment Framework' and 'Handbook of STEAM Competencies Rubric'. With the theme 'Quality Leaders, Quality Education', the convention aims to strengthen the systemic integration of the Ministry of Education through fostering a collaborative culture among all stakeholders.
