Post: 300 New Recruits Join Bicol Regional Police Force

LEGAZPI CITY, BICOL - Brig. Gen. Westrimundo Obinque, Police Regional Office 5 (Bicol) director, welcomed 300 new recruits to the regional police force during their oath-taking ceremony at Camp Gen. Simeon Ola on Friday. The new officers were encouraged to strive for excellence and uphold integrity in their duties.

According to Philippines News Agency, the recruits were advised to always choose what is right over what is easy and to continuously seek knowledge and improvement. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of overcoming obstacles and remembering the sacrifices made to become part of the police force. He urged the recruits to maximize their time in training school, learning from mentors and instructors to become capable and effective police officers. The new officers will undergo intensive and progressive training in police science, administration, combat operations, and tactics. During their training, they will receive a monthly basic pay of PHP29,668, exclusive of allowances. Upon completion of the training, they will attain permanent status as patrolmen or patrolwomen.
