Hong kong: The 27th World Customs Organization (WCO) Asia/Pacific Regional Heads of Customs Administration Conference underscored the collective commitment to advancing regional priorities through a series of high-level presentations and dynamic discussions. The meeting was held last month in Hong Kong, People's Republic of China. According to Radio Television Brunei, the conference saw the participation of Awang Muhammad Azizil Hakim bin Haji Brahim, Acting Controller of the Royal Customs and Excise Department. The gathering highlighted the region's leadership in shaping modern customs practices and reinforced a strong culture of collaboration and information exchange among WCO Asia/Pacific members. In addition to the main conference events, the Royal Customs and Excise Department engaged in bilateral talks with the Korea Customs Service. These discussions focused on potential customs cooperation, including a Customs Mutual Assistance Agreement, efforts to combat illicit trade, capacity-building initiative s, and information sharing.
