Post: 112th Munajat Night Marks World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

Brunei Darussalam – The 112th Munajat Night, commemorating the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims 2023, was held at the Ash Shaliheen Mosque. The event, organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications through the Brunei Darussalam National Road Safety Council (MKKJR), emphasized the importance of accident prevention in line with Maqasid Syariah, which advocates for the protection of life and property.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Among the attendees was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. The Munajat Night featured a tazkirah, a form of Islamic sermon, which highlighted the significance of road safety and the need to remember road traffic victims. Mosque takmir committees and congregants from 80 mosques, suraus, and religious halls nationwide joined the event, underscoring the importance of road safety awareness and the remembrance of victims in the Islamic community.
