4,000 Police Personnel Deployed for ‘Undas’ Observance in Central Luzon Provinces

Manila — To bolster security during the observance of “Undas,” or All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days on November 1 and 2, around 4,000 police personnel have been strategically positioned in cemeteries and transport terminals in the provinces of Central Luzon.

According to Philippines News Agency, director of the Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO-3), these deployments aim to provide comprehensive coverage around the clock from October 31 to November 2.

Hidalgo disclosed that of the 4,000 deployed personnel, 3,000 are stationed at police hubs and police assistance desks in cemeteries, major transport terminals, and other public congregation points. These locations also include stringent checkpoints, chokepoints, and border control operations, all to ensure that no untoward incidents occur. In addition, approximately 1,000 police personnel have been designated as road safety marshals at motorist assistance centers along major and secondary roads in Central Luzon.

The public is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any incidents or suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the Philippine National Police hotline numbers 0998-598-5330 or 0917-556-2597.

In coordination with the police efforts, the Department of Public Works and Highways-Central Luzon (DPWH-3) has also deployed motorist assistance teams in strategic locations along major thoroughfares in the region. According to DPWH-3 Regional Director Roseller Tolentino, the “Lakbay-Alalay Teams” from their 16 district engineering offices will operate in round-the-clock shifts to ensure full public service throughout the observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.
