Rimba: The Voting and Selection Ceremony for the Head of Kampung Rimba Kawasan Dua, Mukim Gadong 'A', was conducted on the morning of 17th May at Alif Primary School, Rimba. The event witnessed the participation of the sole candidate, Awang Mohd Khairul Anwar bin Matshah, who is 33 years old. Dignitaries present included Yang Berhormat Awang Zainol bin Haji Mohamed, a Member of the Legislative Council.
According to Radio Television Brunei, on the same day, the residents of Kampung Kiarong Kawasan Satu, Mukim Gadong 'B', also participated in the voting process to select their Village Head. The event was attended by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Daud bin Jihan, another Member of the Legislative Council, and Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, the Acting Brunei Muara District Officer. Awang Muhammad Najib bin Haji Abd Hamid, aged 35, was the sole candidate eligible for the position.
The ceremonies were organized to ensure the selection of capable leaders to guide the respective villages and enhance community development.
