Typhoon ‘KALMAEGI’ Expected to Influence Brunei Darussalam Weather

As of 11 in the morning local time today, Severe Tropical Storm ‘KALMAEGI’ has been upgraded to Typhoon ‘KALMAEGI’, positioned approximately 1500 kilometres away from Brunei Darussalam. The typhoon is forecasted to move westwards, away from the country.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Typhoon ‘KALMAEGI’ is anticipated to indirectly influence the weather in Brunei Darussalam. Starting tomorrow until 7 November, active weather conditions are expected. These conditions include occasional heavy and gusty showers or thundershowers, particularly affecting sea areas and several regions of the country. Wind gusts could reach up to 50 kilometres per hour in or near heavy showers. The public is advised to take precautionary actions in response to the forecasted active weather conditions.
