Tutong District Leads Joint Cleaning Campaign for Environmental Preservation

TUTONG – On the morning of February 3rd, the Tutong District Office spearheaded a Joint Cleaning Campaign at the Berjaya Complex Building, signaling a robust initiative towards maintaining cleanliness and ensuring public safety within the district. The campaign, led by Awang Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri, Acting Tutong District Officer, saw a collaborative effort that included Members of the Legislative Council and various government agencies.

According to Radio Television Brunei, this initiative forms part of a broader strategy to engage community members and authorities in environmental stewardship. The campaign underscores the importance of shared responsibility in environmental conservation, with penalties outlined for those found violating cleanliness regulations. Individuals can face fines ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 for first offences, while corporate entities could be fined $2,000 for similar infractions.
