Post: Tutong District Hosts “Memucang-Mucang Ketani” to Promote Environmental Cleanliness

Tutong District, Brunei – The Ministry of Home Affairs organized the "Memucang-Mucang Ketani" program at the Pantai Danau Area, aiming to emphasize the importance of environmental cleanliness. The event, held for the first time on the morning of 26th November, was a collaborative effort with the Mukim Telisai and Kampung Danau Consultative Councils in the Tutong District.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the program was attended by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs. Activities included tree planting and a cleaning campaign around Danau Beach, with a Member of the Legislative Council also participating. The event successfully collected over 1,400 kilograms of rubbish, demonstrating a strong community response. The initiative aims to foster unity among Ministry officials, staff, residents, and agencies, supporting the Green Protocol initiative to address and control climate change. The “Memucang-Mucang Ketani'' program plans to continue with various activities promoting environmental awareness and action.
