Low-Pressure Area and Shear Line Bring Clouds and Rains to Metro Manila and Parts of Luzon on All Saints’ Day
Metro Manila — Cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rains and thunderstorms are forecasted to prevail over Metro Manila on All Saints’ Day, primarily due to the influences of a low-pressure area (LPA) and the shear line. These weather conditions are expected to impact various parts of Luzon as well.
According to Philippines News Agency, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), their 4 a.m. weather bulletin on Wednesday detailed the meteorological conditions affecting the region. The LPA, located over the coastal waters of Caramoran, Catanduanes, in conjunction with the shear line affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon, is set to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains across mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Bulacan, Calabarzon, Marinduque, and Camarines Norte.
Concurrently, the northeast monsoon, also known as ‘amihan,’ is influencing the rest of Northern and Central Luzon. This weather pattern will result in cloudy skies with rains over the Cordillera region, Nueva Ecija, and the remaining parts of Cagayan Valley. In contrast, the Ilocos region and the rest of Central Luzon can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
As for other parts of the country, the Visayas, Mindanao, the remainder of Mimaropa, and the rest of the Bicol region are predicted to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms, attributed to localized thunderstorms.
Temperature-wise, Metro Manila is forecasted to see temperatures ranging between 25°C and 31°C. Other notable temperature forecasts include Baguio City with 16°C to 24°C, Laoag City at 23°C to 34°C, Legazpi City between 25°C and 30°C, Metro Cebu from 26°C to 32°C, Puerto Princesa City ranging from 26°C to 31°C, and Metro Davao with temperatures between 25°C and 34°C.
