Tutong: The Tutong District Office Enforcement Unit has imposed a compound fine on Syarikat Syazwanes Contractor for breaching the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021, Chapter 30. The violation involved piling up and leaving construction waste at the Kampung Panchor Dulit Project Site.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the company was fined BND2,000 and is required to pay the amount within seven days. Failure to do so may lead to court proceedings, where the company could face a fine ranging from BND2,000 to BND10,000 upon conviction.
For any subsequent offences, the penalties could increase significantly, with fines ranging from BND10,000 to BND30,000. Additionally, the company could be subject to imprisonment for up to 12 months or both a fine and imprisonment.
