Sultan of Brunei Stresses Importance of Repentance in Knowledge Convention 2023 Titah

Brunei Darussalam – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, emphasized the significance of repentance in his titah at the Knowledge Convention 2023 on 23rd November. He outlined that repentance is not only about seeking forgiveness and regretting sins but also has profound benefits that are beyond human comprehension.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the religious Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) practiced in Brunei Darussalam, especially during times of trials and tribulations, is fundamentally based on repentance. His Majesty began his address by expressing gratitude to Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala for allowing this year’s Knowledge Convention to be held as it was before the COVID-19 pandemic.
