Post: Sultan Emphasizes Safety and Accountability at Brunei Shell Board Meetings

Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, stressed the importance of maintaining the highest standards of safety, performance, and accountability within the Brunei Shell Joint Ventures and Brunei Gas Carriers Companies. His Majesty emphasized these points during the 415th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad (BSP) and the 193rd Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Shell Marketing Sendirian Berhad (BSM) for the second quarter of 2025, held at the Prime Minister’s Office.

According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty highlighted the necessity of stronger execution, fostering a culture of psychological safety, and maintaining continuous vigilance to ensure the long-term resilience and impact of these companies. The meeting commenced with the reading of a Doa and covered critical areas such as safety, operational performance, financials, and manpower development.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was welcomed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister for Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office. Both serve as members of the BSP and BSM Board of Directors. The meeting signified the conclusion of the Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies Board Meetings for the second quarter of 2025.

Key stakeholders, including Shareholder Directors representing the Government of His Majesty and Shell PLC, along with members of the respective Management teams from BSP and BSM, were also in attendance.
