Public Urged to Report Election Fraud and Cheating During BSKE

Manila – On Monday, authorities emphasized the importance for the public to report instances of fraud and cheating during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

According to Philippines News Agency, a fraud-free and credible election is more than just about casting votes. Abalos highlighted that barangay leaders play a pivotal role in efficiently delivering basic services in their communities for the next three years. He praised the Philippine National Police (PNP) for effectively maintaining peace and order in the lead-up to the elections, stating that their proactive measures and coordination with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) have generally kept the situation peaceful nationwide. National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Regional Director PB/Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. reported that elections in Metro Manila have been largely peaceful, with only four instances of vote-buying and three violations of liquor bans reported in the region.
