BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, BRUNEI – During a recent inspection by the Industry and Business Ecosystem Division through the Weights and Measures Unit, SDT under the Ministry of Finance and Economy, authorities conducted spot checks on festive stalls in the capital. The operation aimed to ensure compliance with trading standards for weighing and measuring devices.
According to the inspection results, out of 11 units of weighing and measuring machines inspected, 4 were found to be using unverified machines, and one unit had equipment with an expired validity date. The stall owners involved have been issued Reminder Notices and are required to rectify these discrepancies and report to the SDT Unit's Office within three working days from the notice issuance date.
