Kampung pandan: The ‘Seni Kicauan Keputeraan’ Competition was a major highlight in the Belait District as the Kampung Pandan ‘C’ Consultative Council and Kicauan Unggas Fighter KB, in collaboration with the Belait District Office, organized the event. Held in conjunction with His Majesty’s 79th Birthday Celebration, the competition attracted significant attention from the local community.
According to Radio Television Brunei, more than 200 magpies participated in the competition, which featured six different categories. The event not only celebrated the festive season but also aimed to educate the public about the art of magpie chirping. The prizes were presented by Yang Berhormat Awang Mohamad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann, a Member of the Legislative Council. The competition took place at the Language and Literature Bureau in Kampung Pandan, drawing a substantial crowd and fostering a greater appreciation for magpie chirping artistry.
