Hengyi Industries Launches Phase 2 of Petrochemical Project in Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan – The Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Economic Development Board, and Hengyi Industries Sendirian Berhad have announced the launch of Phase 2 of Hengyi’s petrochemical project. This phase exceeds the investment scale of the initial phase and is aligned with the objectives of Wawasan Brunei 2035 and the Economic Blueprint, aiming to drive economic growth and increase job opportunities in the country.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Hengyi’s commitment extends beyond petrochemical production, fostering a dynamic business ecosystem for local enterprises. The success of Phase 1 operations demonstrated the potential for productive partnerships, with 15 local companies having served as main contractors during that phase. With the commencement of Phase 2, Hengyi expects to create additional business opportunities for local entrepreneurs and companies.
