Regional Training Workshop Empowers Women Journalists for Crisis Reporting

Gadong: The Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), in collaboration with UNESCO’s International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC) and Radio Television Brunei (RTB), has initiated a regional training workshop focused on empowering women journalists for crisis reporting. The workshop commenced in the morning at a hotel in Gadong.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Acting Director of RTB, Awang Cheong Chee Keong, emphasized the crucial role that women journalists play in the media landscape. He noted that the workshop’s timing is significant, as it aims to enhance the skills and effectiveness of women journalists during crises. The three-day event has attracted over 20 women journalists and media professionals from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
