Prime Minister Of Singapore Arrives For Young Leaders’ Programme Hosted By Brunei

Bandar seri begawan: The Prime Minister and Minister for Finance of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Lawrence Wong, and his delegation arrived in Brunei this morning. Upon arrival, His Excellency was greeted by senior Brunei officials, including Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence; and other distinguished ministers and officials.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the arrival ceremony included a Static Guard of Honour mounted by personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. This visit coincides with Brunei Darussalam hosting the Young Leaders’ Programme (YLP), an annual initiative between Brunei and Singapore that has been in place since 2013.
