Post: Pope Francis Undergoes CT scan for Flu-Like Symptoms, Results Negative

Rome – In Rome, Pope Francis underwent a computer tomography (CT) scan at the Gemelli hospital on Tiber Island this Saturday following the onset of flu-like symptoms.

According to Philippines News Agency, the CT scan results were negative, effectively ruling out any risk of "pulmonary complications." The statement also confirmed that Pope Francis had returned to the Casa Santa Marta, his residence within the Vatican, following the test.

Earlier on Saturday, Matteo Bruni, Director of the Holy See Press Office, had announced the cancellation of the Pope's scheduled audiences for the day, citing "a slight flu-like condition." The prompt medical response and subsequent negative test results have provided reassurance about Pope Francis's health.
