PCSO Commits to Service Improvement Following GCG Recognition

Manila – Following its commendation by the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG), the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has pledged to enhance its services further. PCSO Chairperson Junie E. Cua emphasized the agency’s commitment to better serving Filipinos after the PCSO was acknowledged for its significant progress in achieving its 2022 Performance Scorecard targets.

According to Philippines News Agency, The GCG reported that the PCSO achieved a Performance Scorecard rating of 92.03 percent in 2022, a substantial increase from its previous rating of 56.30 percent. Cua stated that the PCSO is not content with maintaining the status quo and aims for continuous improvement to better serve the public. This commitment was highlighted during the PCSO’s 89th founding anniversary celebrations on October 27, where GCG Chairperson Atty. Marius P. Corpus commended the PCSO’s performance in the previous year. This included 100 percent payment of the agency’s mandatory contributions to all recipient agencies and a total remittance of PHP4.75 billion. Corpus also praised the forward-looking leadership of Chairperson Cua and General Manager Melquiades Robles, expecting steady improvement under their guidance. Cua expressed humility for the recognition but attributed the success to the hardworking PCSO staff dedicated to serving the people. He also acknowledged the support and enabling environment provided by other government agencies and oversight bodies, which have contributed to the PCSO’s achievements.
