Brunei Celebrates World Children’s Day 2023 with Carnival

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei – The Brunei Paediatric Society (BPS) celebrated World Children’s Day 2023 with a carnival on the morning of 26th November. Held at the Jerudong Park Garden, the event was a collaborative effort between the Department of Paediatrics, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the carnival was graced by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohammad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The event saw the participation of a thousand children, including those with special needs and different abilities from The Child Development Centre and Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam. The carnival featured a variety of games and sales stalls, adding to the festive atmosphere.
