Maguindanao Student Arrested with P1 Million Worth of Suspected Shabu in General Santos City Drug Operation
GENERAL SANTOS CITY – In a significant anti-illegal drug operation on Friday night, police in General Santos City apprehended a 20-year-old student from Maguindanao del Norte, confiscating suspected shabu valued at PHP1 million.
According to Philippines News Agency, police director for the Soccsksargen region, the arrest was the culmination of a well-coordinated entrapment operation by operatives from Police Station 6 and the City Drug Enforcement Unit. The operation took place at 7:40 p.m. at Purok 13, Escuala Village, Barangay Lagao, where the police seized 155 grams of suspected shabu along with other items from the suspect, identified only as “Emran,” who is also a tricycle driver from Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
The suspect is now being held at Police Station 6, awaiting further legal action. This operation marks a notable success in the ongoing efforts to combat the illegal drug trade in the region.
