Creamline Aims for Third Consecutive PVL All-Filipino Title in Pasig City
PASIG CITY, PHILIPPINES – The Creamline Cool Smashers are set to begin their pursuit of a third straight Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference championship this Tuesday at the Philsports Arena. With eight titles already under their belt, the team’s drive for success remains undiminished.
According to Philippines News Agency, the competition this season is fierce, with teams like Petro Gazz, Choco Mucho, Cignal, Chery Tiggo, PLDT, Akari, Nxled, Galeries Tower and Farm Fresh, as well as new entrants Capital1 and Strong Group, all aiming to unseat Creamline from its championship pedestal. “Creamline’s goal is to win championships. But the question is ‘how are we going to do it?'” Meneses stated during a weekend interview.
Since 2017, Creamline has accumulated a total of seven titles, with the last two being consecutive All-Filipino championships. Meneses emphasized a focused and diligent approach to the game, saying, “We take it one point at a time, just work, preparation, whoever the opponent is, we will prepare well. Hopefully, the results of our games will be good.”
The team has bolstered its roster with the addition of former Choco Mucho skipper Bea de Leon, joining forces with stars like Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza, Alyssa Valdez, Michele Gumabao, Kyle Negrito, Pangs Panaga, and Bernadette Pons. The integration of veteran players into his system is something Meneses hopes will proceed smoothly.
“Our preparation for this conference is almost the same as the last time. We are always training to reduce our errors, the basic errors and of course, the other teams really strengthened themselves, so we are ready for this conference,” Meneses concluded, highlighting the team’s readiness to face the enhanced competition in the upcoming PVL season.
