Ministry of Home Affairs Holds Tahlil Ceremony at Royal Mausoleum


Bandar Seri Begawan: The Ministry of Home Affairs, along with its departments and the Mukim and Village Consultative Council, organized a Reading of Surah Yassin and Tahlil Ceremony for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim. The event took place on the afternoon of March 17 at the Royal Mausoleum.



According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was attended by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the Minister of Home Affairs. Members of the Legislative Council were also present at the event.



The Tahlil Ceremony was conducted to honor and remember the contributions and legacies of the late members of the royal family. The Reading of Surah Yassin and Tahlil is a significant religious practice that involves reciting verses from the Quran, seeking blessings and peace for the departed souls.



The event highlighted the continued respect and reverence held for the late Sultan, Duli Raja Isteri, and His Royal Highness Prince by the nation, demonstrating the enduring legacy of their service and dedication.
