Minister Outlines Measures for Improved Infrastructure in Development Plan

Bandar Seri Begawan: In response to the plan to provide more conducive infrastructure, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development, explained that several measures have been taken.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the minister detailed that infrastructure maintenance works are underway, focusing on roads, water supply, and drainage systems to ensure they function well and safely. Additionally, he highlighted the implementation of flood mitigation projects, which include dredging and widening of water channels, upgrading drainage systems, constructing water reservoirs, and installing drainage pump systems to manage rainwater in high-risk areas.

The minister also emphasized a comprehensive study aimed at ensuring more organized and effective planning in addressing floods and other natural disasters.
