Tutong: A Cooking Competition named “Masterchef Kampung” was held at the Kampung Lubok Pulau Community Hall in Tutong District to promote culinary creativity. The event took place on the morning of August 17, organized by the Tanjong Maya and Lubok Pulau Village Consultative Council in collaboration with the Women’s Bureau of the PEKLAP Association. This competition was part of the celebrations for the 79th Birthday Celebration.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the competition featured 12 participants who focused on traditional cuisine, emphasizing the nation’s cultural heritage while also creating business opportunities within the local community. The winner of the competition was Dayang Nur Khairin binti Haji Mohammad Soffian, who received her prize from Awangku Arif bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, the Assistant Tutong District Officer.
