Post: Marcos Family Pays Respects at Former President’s Tomb

Taguig City, Philippines – On Wednesday, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., accompanied by his family, paid a visit to the tomb of his father, former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr., at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB).

According to Philippines News Agency, the President arrived at the LNMB with First Lady Louise ‘Liza’ Araneta-Marcos and their sons, Joseph Simon and William Vincent. Also present were his mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, and sisters, Senator Imee Marcos and Irene Marcos-Araneta. Supporters of the Marcos family gathered at the site to welcome the First Family and join in the service honoring the memory of the late president. After the mass, the First Family promptly departed from the LNMB. No program was held during the visit. In a related development, the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced that the All Saints’ Day celebration proceeded peacefully and in an orderly manner, with no untoward incidents reported.
