PNP Chief Urges Officers to Honor Fallen Comrades Through Dedicated Service

MANILA – Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil has called on police officers nationwide to honor their fallen colleagues by emulating their dedication and commitment to duty.

According to Philippines News Agency, between January 1 and July 13 of this year, 16 officers have lost their lives, and 40 others have been injured while serving in the line of duty. These losses, he emphasized, highlight the PNP’s strong commitment to ensuring public safety, security, and order across the nation.

Marbil expressed that the best way to honor the fallen is by continuing their work with the same courage and dedication they showed. He praised the deceased and injured officers as heroes whose sacrifices have protected Filipino families and defended communities from criminal activities. Marbil’s appeal underscores a deep appreciation for the heavy burdens carried by law enforcement and a call for all officers to reflect the same valor and commitment demonstrated by their colleagues.
