Northern Mindanao Police Achieve High Public Satisfaction Ratings, Reports MinDA


CAGAYAN DE ORO, Northern Mindanao – The Police Regional Office in Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) has garnered high public satisfaction ratings.



According to Philippines News Agency, The PRO-10 received commendable ratings across various categories, including a 95% satisfaction rating, 94% trust rating, 93% respect rating, 92% safety rating, and 93% security rating for the fourth quarter of 2023.



Dr. Adrian Tamayo, MinDA’s public relations chief, detailed that the survey, conducted from January 5 to 10, 2024, involved 1,204 respondents from the region. “We are 95% confident in the survey results. It is as credible as any scientific survey, indicating strong public approval of the PRO-10’s performance,” Tamayo said. He encouraged the PRO-10 leadership to continue building trust and improving communication with the community to maintain these high satisfaction levels.



“Enhanced communication and information flow are essential to fostering unity within the community, regardless of circumstances,” Tamayo added, highlighting the importance of ongoing engagement between the police and the public.



Col. Danilo Bacas, acting deputy director of PRO-10, welcomed the survey results as a positive reflection of the region’s security and peace maintenance efforts. He acknowledged the public’s trust in their institution and called on the media to assist in changing the negative perceptions about Mindanao.



“I encourage the media to help alter the stigma or fear associated with Mindanao. Northern Mindanao is a peaceful place for living and conducting business,” Bacas stated, underscoring the region’s commitment to ensuring safety and security for its residents and businesses.
