Malacañang Palace Names 13 New Officials to Key Positions

MANILA — Malacañang Palace announced on Friday the appointment of 13 new officials, including a new Inspector General for the Philippine National Police and members to various national boards and councils.

According to Philippines News Agency, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed Brigido Dulay, a former undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and Justice, as the new Inspector General of the Internal Affairs Service of the Philippine National Police. The list of appointees also features four new directors for the Bases Conversion and Development Authority Board, identified as Maricris Carlos, Paul Christian Cervantes, Pablo De Borja, and Bryan Matthew Nepomuceno.

Further appointments include Larry Lacson as the Acting Administrator of the National Food Authority, and Eric Zerrudo as the Executive Director of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. The Cultural Center of the Philippines will also welcome three new members to its Board of Trustees: Felix Duque, Gizela Gonzales, and Kaye Tinga.

Additional roles filled include Luz Jordana Jose as Director IV of the Department of Health, and Arthur Ledesma and Romeo Prestoza as acting members of the John Hay Management Corporation Board of Directors. These appointments mark a significant reshuffle in several key governmental areas.
