President Marcos Appoints Doria-Velarde to Pag-IBIG Board of Trustees
MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has named Maria Lourdes Doria-Velarde as the acting member of the Board of Trustees of the Home Development Mutual Fund, commonly known as Pag-IBIG.
According to Philippines News Agency, Doria-Velarde will be representing the private employers’ sector on the board. She steps into the role previously held by Mylah Roque, spouse of the former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.
Doria-Velarde brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as the deputy general manager for administration at Duty Free Philippines. Her past roles also include positions on the Board of Trustees of the Nayong Pilipino Foundation and the Intercontinental Broadcasting Corp., indicating her broad experience in both the retail sector and cultural and broadcasting entities.
