Jelajah Kerjaya 2025 Launches with Focus on Workforce Efficiency
Jerudong: At the Opening Ceremony of the Jelajah Kerjaya 2025, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy highlighted the importance of collective efforts in addressing unemployment and improving workforce efficiency. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah noted that the government alone cannot tackle these challenges, emphasizing the need for active participation from all sectors. Based on last year’s success, the Jelajah Kerjaya attracted over 800 local job seekers and filled more than 500 vacant positions. The event, organized by the Job Centre Brunei, Prime Minister’s Office, was held at Bridex Hall Jerudong on the afternoon of October 16th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the Minister pointed out ongoing challenges such as skills mismatch, job stability, and sectoral dependency. He stressed the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen workforce skills through reskilling and upskilling programs, ensuring workers are prepared for industry changes.
The event also marked the launch of the Brunei Local Opportunity and Outstanding Merit (BLOOM) Awards. The Jelajah Kerjaya 2024 Highest Local Recruitment Award was secured by ‘Go Mamam’, while the Caring Employer Award was jointly won by Borneo Kopitiam Restaurant and Catering and Imagine Sendirian Berhad. The event remains open to the public until this Sunday, operating from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a break on Friday from 11:30 AM to 2 PM.
