Isolated Rains and Partly Cloudy Skies Expected Across the Philippines
MANILA — The Philippines is set to experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers, as forecasted by the national weather agency.
According to Philippines News Agency, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the southwest monsoon will affect the weather conditions, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies accompanied by isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, particularly over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands. The bulletin, issued at 4 a.m. Saturday, also included warnings of possible flash floods or landslides in these areas due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines will face similar weather conditions, driven by localized thunderstorms. Additionally, a low-pressure area (LPA) that emerged off the northernmost region of Luzon was last recorded 375 km north-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, moving northward with minimal likelihood of escalating into a cyclone, as noted by PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.
The forecast also predicts light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas across the archipelago. Temperature forecasts for various cities include Metro Manila (26°C to 34°C), Baguio City (17°C to 24°C), Tuguegarao City (25°C to 35°C), Laoag City (24°C to 32°C), Legazpi City (27°C to 34°C), Metro Cebu (26°C to 33°C), Puerto Princesa City (26°C to 32°C), Metro Davao (27°C to 34°C), and Zamboanga City (26°C to 34°C).
